    About this Report
The performance and use of video conferencing hardware will be impacted by a room's acoustics, size, and the use case.  This report uses standard formulas from AVIXA and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to estimate performance of the video conferencing system.

  1.0  Room Information
Critical Distance (Dc)
The distance between the microphone and the sound source at which the level of room reverberation is equal to the level of the direct sound.
Reverberation Time
The reverberation time of a room or space is defined as the time it takes for sound to decay by 60dB.
Absorbing Surface
Percentage of surfaces with absorbing surfaces of NRC.50 or higher.
Treatment
Typically, covering 15% of the room with treatment will provide a significant improvement for conferencing and benefit the overall comfort in the room.

    Audio Analysis
Speech Transmission Index (STI) is an ANSI standard to calculate microphone transmission quality or speech intelligibility over an audio or video call.  The standard uses plain language terms as a rating system.

  MXA 710 Acoustical Modeling
MXA 910 Enter the room's surfaces into acoustic modeling and note the STI rating.  You may add sound absorbing panels or change a surface to model different acoustical improvement scenarios.  If the message below says "Check % Values" all 6 surfaces do not total 100% each.
